Research Scientist, Learned Simulation

About the role

The Discovery Group maps spaces too vast for experiment. You will build learned simulators that respect physical law and enable search over chemistry and materials.

What you'll do

• 01Design surrogate architectures with hard physical constraints.
• 02Benchmark accuracy against first-principles methods.
• 03Integrate models into autonomous discovery loops.
• 04Collaborate with experimentalists to validate proposals.

What we look for

• ◇PhD in physics, chemistry, materials science, or ML.
• ◇Experience with scientific computing or simulation.
• ◇Understanding of how to encode constraints into models.
• ◇Interest in closed-loop, autonomous discovery.
